Danny stared down into her tea, not wanting to meet Dylan's eyes. She knew they were full of pure hatred and hurt.
"What do you mean you're breaking up with me?" Dylan asked, his voice shaky and angry.
"I can't do it anymore, I don't love you like I used to." Danny said in a shaky voice as well. But not from anger, from fear of what he would do to her.
"You can't break up with me, Danny. I still love you!" He screamed, standing up. Danny stared at the ground, her hands shaking slightly and she held her cup with both hands.
"I'm sorry." She murmured softly. Dylan shook his head, picking up his coffee cup and taking a sip from it.
"Oh you're going to be." He growled, throwing his cup of hot coffee on me, burning my skin and seeping through my clothes . A few gasps came from the very few people in the corner coffee shop.
"You're going to regret this Danny." Dylan growled and slapped her across the face, leaving a throbbing red mark on her cheek. Dylan through the coffee cup on the hard ground letting it shatter to pieces before storming out of the coffee shop in rage.
Danny sat there, holding a hand on her throbbing cheek and looked around at all the shocked faced around her.She looked down then felt a gentle hand on her shoulder.
"Are you alright?" A warm, inviting voice asked. Danny nodded slightly and stood up, coffee dripping off of her orange and blue sweater.
"Well, at least let me drive you to your place so you can change into some clean clothes." The voice offered. Danny looked up to see a pair of soft blue eyes looking at her full of sympathy. Danny recognized those eyes. She blinked once and saw Niall Horan standing front of her.
"So will you take me up on my offer?" Niall asked, giving her a friendly smile before sighing softly. Danny had always been a fan of One Direction but never thought about meeting them. Especially when she was a total mess.
"Sure, I need a ride. Thank you." Danny smiled at him thankfully then walked with him out the door. Niall helped Danny into his car and closed the passenger side door before getting in the drivers seat. Niall started the car and the soft hum was soothing to Danny.
"Just down this road then turn left at the first apartment building you see." Danny told him. Niall smiled and started driving where she told him.
"So, what happened back there? Or do you not want to talk about it?" Niall said in a sweet voice, glancing over at Danny with a warm gaze.
"Oh, um, I had broken up with my now ex boyfriend and he freaked. He's had really bad anger issues lately and I couldn't take it anymore." Danny explained.
"Did he ever. . . hurt you?" Niall asked carefully, looking over at her. Danny stayed silent for a moment then slowly nodded, rubbing the back of her neck not wanting to think of it.
"Well, it was very brave. Most girls couldn't do that." Danny smiled over at Niall when he said that. He was being really sweet for a girl he had just met. Niall pulled into the parking lot of the apartment building then opened the door for Danny.
"Thanks." Danny said, her cheeks turning slightly pick as she tucked a piece of brown hair behind her ear. Danny walked inside with Niall close behind and climbed the stairs until they reached her apartment. Danny stuck her key in the door knob then opened the door to her apartment. "You can stay down here while I change real quick, unless you want to leave of course." Danny smiled up at him, not wanting to freak him out.
"No, I'll stay here. I think you would like some company." Niall smiled back down at her. Danny blushed softly and glanced down at the ground.
"I'll be right back." She smiled and went up stairs to her bedroom . Danny searched though her drawer then picked out some more comfortable clothes. She Jogged back downstairs and smiled at Niall.
"So you did stay." She teased, feeling a heck of a lot better with him here.
"Of course I did, how could I leave such a pretty girl alone?" Niall smiled and sat down on the couch, patting a spot next to him. Danny thoughts on Dylan had totally vanished. She wanted to hang out with Niall now.
